Germany 1945: A Fictional Eastern Front Battle

The game was held at the Richmond Public Library, as part of a meeting of Manny Granillo's Western Warlords wargaming club.

We played a 20mm WW2 wargame, which was one of the first games I presented using my in-house rule set called Hail of Lead. As you'll see from the photographs, German and Soviet units were grouped on "unit bases" that were meant to speed play. I later did away with the clunky and cumbersome bases, but kept the streamlined design of the rules intact.

I don't recall the exact order of battle, nor do I have any text files related to this game.

We used a mixture of figures and models by Airfix, ESCI, Revell of Germany, PST, and others. There's at least one kit-bashed Soviet BA-64 armoured car modified from an ESCI SdKfz 250 half-track.
